Where To Outsource and What To Outsource Of Your Internet Work
When you start getting into Search Engine Optimization (SEO) or Internet Marketing, work becomes little overwhelming and at some point you need help with some of the tasks. We just wanted to share some knowledge as to where you can go, to outsource your work, and some recommendations as to what work you should outsource.
First and foremost there are a lot of places you can go to such as Guru.com, Freelancer.com, Odesk.com, Mechanical Turk, and many more… (no, these are not affiliate links – and needless to mention we have no affiliations with these entities either).
Among all these places, it is our experience that Guru.com and Freelancer.com are the ones who gave us better results for our money. When we say this, it is not only how inexpensive they are or how much money you can save; we are talking about quality verses time and money.
Having said this, we need to emphasize on the quality, and recommend that there are some tasks you should do it yourself. The first task that you should think twice of outsourcing is link building. Now, this may sound a little awkward coming from a company that does internet marketing or search engine optimization, which in the very least does link building for its clients. Nevertheless, we are talking about link building strategies as to getting quality links to rank you higher in the search results. We are not talking about those link building strategies you can signup for 500 or 5,000 links in a week, or similar so-called strategies that will send you to the bottom of the barrel by the search engines.
The second task that you should think twice of outsourcing is the control of you social marketing, where you can hire people to post on your or other people’s Facebook, send out numerous Tweets per day, or get you so many followers if you paid some amount of money. Let’s be rational, people you really want to associate with don’t want you to hog their Walls or Tweeter accounts. They want substance, quality, and interaction that make sense. If you are going to hire a company for this task, make sure you have a strategy in place, they understand the quality of work, and they understand the importance of social networking and how important it is for you.
Now, getting back to the places where you can outsource other tasks. The very first one is, of course, article writing either for your blog or for your article marketing. From our experience, Guru.com is a better place to find quality ghost writers, and furthermore, hiring writers from America is a better choice. It may cost less to hire ghost writers from other countries, but it may also become a time consuming and a daunting task to deal with grammar errors, content full of analogies, and most importantly content without substance.
Having said this, outsourcing from other countries to have your article rewritten is another subject. It seems, hiring American writers to rewrite your articles on a sentence level works better, but outsourcing to foreign writers when you want to rewrite your articles on a word level may also work out. For this task, it is our experience to hire American writers from Guru.com for rewriting on a sentence level, and hiring people from Freelancer.com for rewriting on a word level is fine.
Again, a word of caution; we are not talking about spinning your articles hundreds of times to put them in hundreds of article directories or blogs. That is a sure way of degrading yourself. You want to become a credible source, and an authority.
There are also other tasks such as having a custom scripts, which we found Guru.com is a better place to have this work done. Yet again, you need to understand the consequences of outsourcing to America verses other countries. If your work doesn’t require signing some type of a disclosure, your work can be done anywhere in the world. In other words, you should keep in mind that it would be quite hard to implement laws in other countries.
Internet marketing or Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has many moving parts and they are all, one way or another, connected to each other. It is a better idea to outsource a few of the tasks if you can see the big picture and have good control over the whole work. Other wise, it is a much better idea to hire an internet marketing company who can put an effective strategy for you and implement it successfully.
