Looks Like Every SEO Element To Rank Higher Is Being Taken Away By Google
Okay, now what?
When we used the keywords in the meta-tags, we became the king of the SERPs… but it was abolished by the search engines…
Then we started stuffing the keywords in the articles. That was easy but didn’t last long…
We had to pay close attention to the keyword density, and everybody was talking about 2% or 6% keywords density…well, that makes no sense any more…
How about underlining your keywords, bolding them out, making them bigger, etc??? we must say this is just about the thing in the past too…
How about the link wheels, pyramids, etc??? I wonder if anybody is doing this any more? If I remember it correctly, Web 2.0 sites came down hard on these people and took down the sites immediately (as soon as they noticed the links flying from one blog to another).
Article marketing or distribution was one of the biggest things. Yet Panda came along and ate them all!!! There may still be a little juice to this strategy but not it used to be…
Everybody was happy within their own blog-network. This was great even for the SEO companies to have bunch of articles written up and distributed to the different blogs to build links. Ooops, Google put an end to this, and de-indexed them (just about) all…!
Let’s not forget about over-optimizing your site either just for the purpose of ranking higher in the search results. You know you maybe facing some “sandbox time” for this…
Okay… so what now??? sounds like there is nothing left to do to rank higher…!
Well, not true… actually there is nothing “easy” left to do.
One thing is for sure, quality content is still number one, and if I remember it correctly, Google has said this from day one. As I said previously, there is nothing “easy” to do, and creating quality content on a continuous bases is hard work.
Another thing you have in hand is Social Media. You know search engines take the mentions into consideration to make you a credible source on a subject. So, start using social media as an SEO tool, and take advantage of it.

Let’s not forget about multimedia, especially online video marketing. Again, nobody said it was getting easier. Creating videos consistently takes a lot of work (keyword being consistently).
What else is left…??? oh, did I mention quality content 🙂
… do let us know what else please…
