Video Marketing Is Not Just Putting A Video On YouTube
Even though videos have become a huge factor in your Internet Marketing, and evidently in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), most people think that video marketing is just making videos and uploading them to YouTube and other video sites.
Nevertheless, being a bit more creative with your videos is a sure way of enhancing the results of your Internet Marketing, and also being more effective with your SEO. So we wanted to share a video marketing strategy, which is actually a combination of your video marketing, little bit of an article marketing, as well as your social media marketing to make things much more effective.
Step-1: Create your video on your subject, which has a value to your viewers.
Step-2: Upload your video to YouTube
- Make sure the title is appealing, and also includes your keywords
- Write a nice 300 word content that is related to your video
- Put your main link to the top
- Broadcast your video through Twitter, Facebook, and Google+
Step-3: Upload your video to Vimeo
- Follow the same steps as YouTube, but make sure that the title and the content are different

Step-5: Create a separate page for your video on your site
- Embed your video from YouTube or Vimeo
- Put a title with your keywords
- Include a blurb with relevant keywords
- Interlink your video to the relevant pages within your site (don’t forget about your anchor text when you are linking)
Step-6: This changes your Google sitemap. Make sure your sitemap is updated (automatically or manually)
- Resubmit your sitemap to Google and Bing (if it is not automatic) to tell them to index your site
Step-7: Write a highly optimized article about the same subject as your video
- Post your article to your blog
- Make sure your title is different and has your keywords in it
- Embed your video from YouTube or Vimeo
- Include a relevant picture with all the optimization factors
- Update your Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+
- Make sure your RSS is working properly, and ping the aggregators (if it is not automatic)
Step-8: This again changes your Google sitemap. Follow Step-6 for your blog
- Following steps are for being little bit more aggressive with your video marketing.
Step-9: Create about 10 optimized, unique articles with at least 300 words relevant to your video
Make sure you have different titles with your keywords for each article
Step-10: Post your articles to different Web 2.0 sites
- Link your video from YouTube or Vimeo
- Link your picture from your blog
- Make sure to use anchor text in your backlinks to your site
- Make sure each Web 2.0 site broadcasts your article through Twitter
Rather than just putting your video on one or a few video sites and considering that a video marketing, now you have a much effective way of doing it by integrating many other internet marketing elements such as social media, article marketing, and blogging.
Ps: you may also want to put your video on one of your relevant internal pages of your main site.
