Since we have put out our post and, the video titled “Detail Explanation Of How To Optimize Your Content” we have received a few comments regarding what we have said about variation of your keywords. We have previously indicated that this was not really important when you are writing your content, and made an explanation as to how you should be writing a highly optimized content.
In this videos, we wanted to clear an important subject regarding this matter, and tell people that variation of your keywords is not the same thing as variation of your anchor text in your links. And yes, variation of your anchor text is important, and has nothing to do with how to write content with variation of your keywords.
The key to building your backlinks actually goes back to the fact that your backlinks should be natural. Having said this, you should also note that the search engines also want to see natural backlinks. Coming from this angle, and building your backlinks as to how other people would link to your site, will put a better perspective to this matter.
So we have decided to give some ideas as to how you should be using anchor text to create backlinks:
Use of keywords in different phrases: In other words, let say that your keyword is “internet marketing company”, using this keyword as in “internet marketing companies, online marketing company, company doing internet marketing” will be much more naturally used by others to link back to your site than having your backlinks constantly appearing as “internet marketing company”.
Use of your company name: Again, most of the time, people link to your site by using your company name. So this is another important factor to remember when you are building your backlinks, particularly in your press releases.
Using your domain (or URL): This is another way of people linking to your site, as in InternetMarketingCompanyllc.com or http://internetmarketingcompanyllc.com.
“Click Here”, “Read This”, etc: Again, people do not know what keywords you are targeting, neither do they care. They use these phrases to link to your site, where you also should be using them.
Using synonyms: Similar to the first factor that we mentioned, this will also be useful to build natural backlinks. Just pop your words in your keywords into thesaurus and start using them in your anchor text to create more natural backlinks.
Last one that we wanted to mention is the images and videos: This can be accomplished in two way. First one is to put some images in your hosting account and insert these images in your posts when you are building your backlinks with alt text. If you want to be more efficient, create backlink back to your site by using these images.
Doing this with videos will be little tricky but can be done. And knowing that videos are the big in these days, this will actually create some valuable backlinks.
Needless to mention, there is no limit to the variation of natural links. There may be misspelling of anchor text, some irrelevant phrase or a word, or maybe even a long sentences. The whole idea is to make your backlinks as natural as possible like the way (shall we say) non-SEO people would do.
It should also be brought to your attention that, this doesn’t mean you should implement this strategy with all of your backlinks either. Our suggestion would be 70 to 80 percent of the time, where the remainder should be the variation of your keywords.
Let us know if you have more suggestions as to what other variations should be implemented…
